Oooooh. If they manage to fix the sharpness seen on the Mi4K Blu-ray then I'm in. Where's Leon though, that should look ****ing AMAZING in UHD.

Does anyone think there will be a vast improvement over the last release?

As much as I love this movie, I'm not sure if there'll be significant enough improvement to warrant another dip. This would make my third.

Was wondering when they'd start releasing their "Mastered in 4K" line on UHD BD. Another release to add to the top of my to buy list when I upgrade to UHD BD. Glad I have the Mastered in 4K Blu-ray for now though, looks absolutely amazing on my setup.

Note that this release of "The Fifth Element" is scheduled for July 11, 2017, the week prior to Luc Besson's "Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets" theatrical debut. Dollars to doughnuts that Leon is released around the same time, or when VaTCoaTP is released on home video.

Sony will have it exclusively in the Gary Oldman Supreme Cinema Series UHD box set. I'm surprised you've forgotten that.

Unfortunately, it's probably the same master from the last BD and I too didn't like the oversharpened and digital look.

Can't imagine it will be worth the upgrade over the recent BD with Atmos...which was a significant upgrade (both video+audio) over the previous version.

I just don't like this movie that much. Already have it with Atmos, so unless it becomes super duper cheap, then it's a pass.

I've re-purchased this one several times before and probably will again. But as mentioned, it may be a marginal leap in pq considering the last Mi4k wasn't a big step up over the previous remastered blu. And some still prefer that older remaster, even.

Love the movie but will wait and see if it's really a big improvement over the BD.
