Since the UK transfer is awful. Does anyone know if the movie will be released in the US ?

Did this ever come out on Blu-ray? I had the DVD for years and then got the Vudu copy, was hoping for a Blu-ray. Thanks.

I keep hoping this gets a proper release. The DVD is getting up there in years and I've always heard this lone now seemingly OOP UK BD has a hideous transfer but lossless 5.1.

Michael Caine deserved the Oscar for this film. They don't make them like this anymore so of course Miramax buried the film.

Also notable for the rare serious turn from Brendan Fraser in the period when he was mostly known for action-comedies, and he's pretty good in it.
