thinking about picking up FF12 - Blu-ray Forum

How does it compare to ffx n ffx-2. looking at gameplay, length, story, graphics. im looking for a good rpg to hold me over for a while. its only 20 bucks.

I enjoyed xii as much as I enjoyed x. I think it is definitely worth $20!!

I did too, but I think I liked X a little more. It is very different in terms of gameplay. I would recommend if just for the story and graphics.

FFXII is as good as FFX overall, though I think the storyline in X is better.

It's miles and away better than FFX-2. Man, was that game a let-down.

In fact when I bought my PS3, I didn't buy a PS3 game with it. I bought FFXII.

Buy it!

Don't forget the strategy guide. There's some treasure chests you'll want to avoid opening so that you can obtain the Zodiac spear.

The game is designed with a MMO-ish feel to it. If you've played FFXI Online, it's unmistakeable. Very refreshing spin to the series.

I still haven't beaten 12! Been busy with my PS3 games. One of these days I'll finish it off.

12 is fairly solid. I can't manage to finish it myself. Just almost restarted again.

Got as far as figuring out how to get the upscaling settings right for ps2 widescreen titles.

Still haven't played XII yet...mainly because I stopped caring after X-2. haha. Gimme FF7-X any day though.

Personally, I love all of the Final Fantasy games.. but FFX and FFX-2 I did not like much at all. To the point where I almost passed on FF12.

I ended up getting 12, and it was amazing. They redefined the genre and the series in one of the best PS2 games. The length is amazingly long, and there are hours and hours and hours you can spend on the side part of the game which is arguably the best part of the game.

It is totally worth it, and I'm sure you can find it for $30 or less.

I've been thinking about breaking it back out to play through again recently.

I loved FFXII. It has the best gameplay out of any of the FF games Ive touched. Plus Balthier rocks! Best FF character ever

so i bought it today on the way home. bestbuy had it for 19.99. i also snagged a 4 gig flash drive for 30 bucks. i like it so far. its really different from the turn based im used to, but not bad. only got about 3 hours into it though.

Me too. I never had a PS2 so I had a bunch to catch up on. Finished FFII all the way through. Was an awesome fun time. I really liked the changes in battles. Overall very enjoyable! Great deal for $20 for sure.
I'm on FFX now and I like it as well. I really like how the characters were put together.
