Delirious is much funnier than Raw, I busted a gut when I watched it.

So much was wrong but the way Eddie delivered it was hilarious.

Many gay people I know were not offended. It's the squeaky wheel that gets heard. You should hear some of the jokes they tell!

Precisely. Being involved with theater at the time, I knew a number of gay people and they generally thought his gay bits were hilarious.

I myself am of Italian-American background, and I found his, 'Guys going to see 'Rocky' bit' outrageously funny. Me and my friends would quote it to each other all the time. "Alright, Rocko!!!!"

People need to have a sense of humor, again.

My suspicion is that Delirious is not available because they don't have the rights to it. Though it could be partly because of the blatant homophobia with the stuff about "you better not let your girl hang out with gay people cause she might kiss them and then she'd have aids on her lips and you'd get it!!!" Like, that particular segment crosses over into just fear-mongering paranoia and is not funny.

The Mr T bit is funny. And it's in Delirious, not Raw. I don't think Raw is BAD, but I think Delirious is one of the great stand-up specials of all time. I've listened to it probably 50 times. I never saw the video of it, though I thought I remembered seeing a copy of it somewhere from some shovelware DVD company - I don't remember seeing a studio label on it at all.

I've heard raw twice and don't remember anything from it, really. I'm not sure that it's less offensive than Delirious, though it very well could have been!

What are you talking about? It was shot on film (35mm, I believe) and released theatrically.
