Default Need help with PS3 and Yamaha Reciever

First off let me say im sorry if this has already been talked about in another thread but this is my first time starting a thread so I will get the hang of it eventually. Ok heres my situation...

I have a PS3 and a Yamaha RX-V2500 receiver and I have been playing my blu-rays in regualr Dolby Digital and DTS because that is what my reciever decodes. But my question is... do I set the movies to play in uncompressed PCM audio and only output 2 channels of high quality (4.5Mbps) sound to my receiver and then turn on the Dolby Pro-Logic II movie setting on my reciever to recreate 5.1 sound?

or

Do I just let them play at the regualr Dolby and DTS sound at around 448kbps?

Which would be better or whats the difference? Thanks for any advice.
