The picture is sharper than the DVD and the Audio is DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0. It is 1080i. It's not great but it's not as terrible as some 1080p releases. I bought it at K-Mart for $25 and thought it was worth it.
Cheers,
Carcuss.

Hi guys

Anyone confirm if there's extras to be had on the release?

A scan of the cover would be great.

Thanks!

Ah, answered my own question http://www.futuregamez.net/movies/tw.../twohands.html and http://www.impulsegamer.com/bluraytwohands.html Zero.

Hmmm. Shame cos there's a few good releases in Europe for extras.

My UK disc has zilch.

Well, I reckon this looks great for what it is. No extras really although I have the Magana DVD release coming which has interviews. There's also a couple of releases in Europe with interviews if that's your bag.

A solid transfer and I'm not sure where or who is going to improve it.

Bought from the excellent store: http://www.devoteddvd.com.au/shop/pr...ducts_id=53277

I love these some rarer releases.

picked this up in the JB sale for $11, and agree with TheDriver. It's 1080i/50 but pretty good picture quality and miles ahead of the dvd.

The info on the page says that the movie has a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack and is 1080p.
The back of the case lists it as having a DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 soundtrack and it is in 1080i?

I am wondering whether this is worth upgrading from DVD as I love this movie but I already own it on DVD.

I feel that it is an improvement on the DVD. 1080i isn't a huge downgrade from 1080p. It is still very clear and easy to watch.
Cheers,
Carcuss.

Yeah, its very clear and is a good transfer. It's the best the film has ever looked. If you like the film, its well worth the upgrade.

Audio is DTSHD-MA 2.0.

Well it's a long story but I haven't watched it yet. My receiver is playing up I think as it's only letting me watch 1080p movies, but not 1080i or DVD format.

I posted my problem in this room...
https://forum.blu-ray.com/home-theat...ce-output.html

If you have any ideas, I'd appreciate it!

For the record, I can't wait to check it out when everything works again.

Two Hands, 2016 Umbrella Entertainment release specs:

Codec: AVC
Resolution: 1080p/24
Running time: 1:33:34
Aspect ratio: 1.85:1
Audio: English DTS-HD MA 5.1
No subtitles
Region free (unlike the French disc which is region B locked)
BD25
No Special features

I compared it to the French disc I own, and they are identical (the Metropolitan Films logo is even present at the beginning of the film). The local disc has dropped the French language options, disc menu (there is no menu) and special features from the French disc though.

Thanks mate. Was almost certain it would be a 24fps transfer (unlike the previous PAL travesty... Why Dendy films? Why?), but it's great to have it confirmed. Been waiting for this for a while (nearly imported the French release ).
Great Aussie film. Bryan Brown deserved a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance as Pando (if it had been shopped out to the Academy that is).
Will pick up a copy tomorrow.
Would have got it already, but the JB I went to on my day off (on Wednesday) still didn't have it in store yet!
Pretty slack, as my local JB normally gets releases Monday arvo, the week of release... Would have been nice to watch it Friday night.

Thanks again.

Those Dendy BD's suck. So many of them are subpar 1080i, like In Bruges, etc. Then they still have the gall to charge full price for them. Ditto bloody Accent. The great Australian miserly approach yet again.

And Bryan Brown got an AFI if I remember correctly.

Re-issue coming on April 6 as #19 in the Sunburnt Screens series. Presumably from the new 4K restoration.

This one has been dying for some quality extras (and hopefully a director’s commentary) so I’ll gladly double-dip.
