Deep Purple / Santana / Yes concerts at 1080i only? - Blu-ray Forum

I was so excited to see annoucements of upcoming Blu-ray releases of three of my favorite rock groups: Deep Purple, Santana, and Yes. However, I just noticed that these three videos are in 1080i. I thought 1080p is the norm for Blu-ray these days. How hard is it for Eagle Rock to do the de-interlacing and give us 1080p? Anyone else feel a let down as me?

Yeah, same here. After reading some of the reviews at High Def-Digest on the HD-DUD counterparts of these discs, I'm not so excited about the forthcoming pic and sound quality. When are these suckers going to get it right? Just sticking it on blu-ray is no longer going to be good enough for my cash - it's got to be an all out max job.
