Default AVS has stopped all discussions

Regarding Best Buy and Netflix. They will not allow either to be discussed. All threads have been locked and a TON of suspensions were handed out. I wish there was a way to shut down their site. It is run by first class assh*les.

Seems like someone should post that as a headline on some news site (that the popular AVS forum is under a widescale blackout of any discussion regarding xyz...). The irony is that reporting such an action will only bring more credence to the "rumor".

They really should just turn off the Blu-ray section over there which would cause the remaining BD owners to stop talking about things there.

Or more seriously, it's time to remove the hdtv media software section, add a downloads section alongside the HD DVD/BD sections and be done with it.

yeah, that CESSPOOL of a forum deserves to get laughed at....Heck they probably will just run more hd-dead ads on their site...

They are already the laughing stock of the industry as forums go. This is just par for the course....

They probably suspended the thread starters for posting truth, something they don't quite get over there....

Shut the doors already... That place is worthless....

I honestly believe they are being funded by the HD DVD PG. There's just too much suspect crap that goes down over there. I'm very much pro-Blu, but I wouldn't censor legitimate discussions even if it was pro-HDDVD.

The book burning analogy was spot on.

Their Blu-ray software section seems like a ghost town these days. The mods are so quick to delete threads that no one knows what is okay to post unless it involves being pro-HD DVD. Would anyone really care if they just deleted their entire software boards? What is AVS going to do when no one is producing on HD DVD? They've already lost any credibility they ever had with their behavior in the format war. Will they only have a HD download section?
