Suggestion: Actress/actor search function - Blu-ray Forum

Suggestion for this website , the search box of News, movies, firmware and forum. Why not put/add Actor and Actress to search for their movies on Blu-Ray.

IE: Christian Bale
Search result:
3:10 to Yuma
Reign of Fire
Etc

itd be eaiser to find actor/actress in any blu-ray movie and buy.

I would agree... while you're at it, why not add director also? or Screenwriter? You're gonna end up with a lot of search categories. It would be great if the movie search would work with either the title or the cast/credits.

+1 I'm not sure the number of movies available justifies such a powerful search tool though.

Yeah, but it's probably easier to add it now, then it is to re-vamp the database once there are 3,000 movies out there.

It is still in a bit of a testing phase but it mostly works

For example "Christian Bale" fails but "Bale" will find

3:10 To Yuma [Blu-ray]
The Prestige [Blu-ray]
Rescue Dawn [Blu-ray]
Reign of Fire [Blu-ray]
American Psycho [Blu-ray]

I know what the bug is but have not found a workaround yet that is 100%...

wrong section of the forum... normally, i use imdb side by side with this site to find the actor of certain bd discs

I think actor/ actress or director search should be in (News, Movies, Firmware, Forum, Actor, Actress, Director) Drop box and type in search box, click search..

Itd be a lot easier? thats my feedback. the link posted was great but in wrong place, imo. Thank you for your consideration.

Well, I don't have access to implement such a thing on the blu-ray.com site.

Thank you for the suggestion, this is something that we've been meaning to add for a long time but just haven't gotten around to. I'll put this higher on my todo-list and get working on it as soon as possible

We have now added Cast and Director info to the movie listings. The search feature will come soon, in the meantime you can simply navigate to a movie you know someone is starring in and click on their name to get their Blu-ray filmography
