This actually played at a theater near me so I checked it and Y2K out today. The plot was very similar to another movie I saw a while ago, but I can't really say which movie because it'll ruin this one. Get Away is pretty entertaining, and more gruesome than I expected. Although it is another Nick Frost movie from the director of Krazy House and that's quite gruesome as well, so I'm not surprised.

Nice to see Aisling Bea in another movie after the that crap Home Alone remakequel or whatever that was supposed to be. I liked her on Taskmaster and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, so I was kind of bummed about how poorly that one was received - although deservedly so.

I was the only person in either movie I saw today. It was great for me, but I feel bad for the movies because I don't think they're going to make any money.

It’s rare that I see a film where absolutely nothing works for me but this was one of them. Visually boring, hammy acting across the board (irritating ham btw, now the fun kind) and a plot that stumbles along with abrupt shifts in narrative/tone with each new act. Was expecting at least some of the humor to land but nope, barely even got a chuckle out of me. At least it was mercifully short.

DVD available on April 15th. Not seeing a listing for a blu-ray at this time.

In the meantime, since no one has mentioned it yet, you can stream it on Shudder.
