Is the standard DD 5.1 track on BD better quality then the 5.1 on SD? - Blu-ray Forum

Is the 5.1 DD track that is on most BD's better quality than the 5.1 tracks seen on SD DVD's?

I thought it sounded better, but you wouldn't think considering it should be the same soundtrack.

I think it's usually higher bit rate -- 640kbps on BD vs 448 or lower on DVD.
