This gets batted around on the net. This site is more fair as to the dynamics of it all. A lot of Jedi supporters harp on Superman's vulnerability to Kryptonite but realistically harping on Superman's Kryptonite vulnerability is ironic as there are many times more elements that can kill a human slowly or instantly that are far more abundant.

superman can easily take out a dozen jedi knights. hes beaten planet devouring monsters, legions of terminators, and even doomsday. jedis would be a cake walk for him

I've never been impressed with Superman's intellect. The Jedi's could pull the "Jedi mind trick" on him and make him think flying into the sun would be a cool idea.
