Weird to see Sony release so many movies at a time. Feels like there's usually a month or two between their movies but they've released Big George Foreman and Love Again in the last two weeks and are releasing Knights of the Zodiac this week. The Pope's Exorcist didn't come out that long ago either.

Since Guardians 3 got an A Cinemascore I’ll say it only drops 50ish percent in weekend 2 compared to the embarrassing 70 percent drop for Ant-Man, but that still means no more than 60 million.

This is just counter programming by the studio's not every one is in to comic book films you know. There will be people who will go and see the films out this week.

Pre-sales for GOTG 3 this weekend are already looking solid in my area. This should have a good hold, maybe around $65-70M for the weekend.

Outside of Book Club, all these films are coming out at later dates over here. It’s more no one wants to be following the standard Marvel summer opener.

Looking like Hypnotic isn’t getting as many theaters as I would suspect for the director and star. The theater closest to me is not getting it for instance while ironically still playing Ben Affleck’s Air this weekend.
