This is one of my favorite of all the POE movies. Love the sets in this movie a lot.

Normally I'd wait for Arrow to release this, but with their move to the U.S., this doesn't seem likely. Guess I'll have to pick up this Kino version.

I think Arrow looked into this but said that MGM did not hold any HD materials. I hope that's changed and this isn't just an upscale like the Koch Media release is.

Kino is really knocking it out of the park with the Corman titles.

Let's hope Kino does a good job with this one. Their line-up for 2015 is fantastic so far!

Great news! I'm assuming they will be using this wonderful poster art for the cover:

Queen of Blood is another AIP title from MGM I'd love to see. (It's been on MGMHD as well, so a HD master already exists.)

Yes, I've heard that the German PAL (Koch Media?) is a less than stunning transfer. I hope the Kino can improve on that.

Sounds like good news!

Again, it's an SD upscale from a PAL master:

I hope Kino are double checking what they're getting from MGM, because I understand Arrow enquired about The Premature Burial for future release, and MGM had no HD master to offer.

Would it really matter if Arrow or Kino released it ? PQ - wise they would use the same master that MGM gives them. Arrow might knock it out with the extras but Kino is starting to do that.. Ill take a superior image over 20 pages of still gallery photos (just saying)

What I'm saying is Arrow rejected it because MGM could only offer an SD master. So Kino have no competition. I'm not saying that Kino are releasing an upscale (I mean, they better not be), more likely MGM now have or soon will have an HD master, but it's still worth noting.

I have a vague recollection which I hope is correct:

A year or two ago, MGM HD aired a version of PREMATURE BURIAL that restored the original theatrical title card, not seen on home video versions of the film.

I hope that is the element that is available to Kino.
