Megan Fox has two comic book movies lined up - Blu-ray Forum

She's in negotiations to star in Jonathan Hex and she's already attached to Fathom. Here's the details:

Fox is in final negotiations to star opposite Josh Brolin and John Malkovich in "Jonah Hex," Warner Bros.' action Western based on the DC Comics character. She also is attached to star and develop "Fathom," Fox Atomic's comic book-based underwater adventure.

In "Hex," being directed by Jimmy Hayward, Fox will play Leila, a gun-wielding beauty and love interest of Hex (Brolin), a scarred bounty hunter tracking a voodoo practitioner (Malkovich) who wants to raise an army of undead to liberate the South.

The movie is prepping for a shoot in April, with Mad Chance's Andrew Lazar and Weed Road's Akiva Goldsman producing.

"Fathom," a comic created by recently deceased artist Michael Turner, follows a young woman named Aspen who learns she is a member of a race of aquatic humanoids who possess the ability to control water.

The project was at one point set up at James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment. When the option lapsed, producer Peter Safran scooped it up and began packaging it, eventually attracting Fox, a fan of the comic since its 1998 debut, when it became the top-selling comic of the year. Fox had been seeking Turner to investigate "Fathom's" rights availability.

that is a horrible picture of her...wow

interesting news though

of course i havent seen her in anything beside transformers (and an episode of What I Like About You and an Olsen Twin Movie........it was all that was on tv that day)

speaking of underwater...I did see some pics of her on a movie set with her coming out of the water...maybe that had to do with the movie??? But those pictures were smoking...

OH yeah I saw those! No, those weren't for this movie, that was for Jennifer's body, I believe is the name of the movie.

I haven't seen anything from Fox to make me think she can carry a movie, but she does look good. The underwater movie obviously plays to her strength. I think she could do good in the western too, the bigger question with that is whether or not it will get the serious treatment or the free money treatment from the studio.

Serious treatment being what Iron Man, Batman Begins, etc get.

Free money treatment being what X-Men Wolverine, SFIV, etc get.

Fathom: The studio execs sat around for 14 hours deciding how to make a movie with Megan Fox looking wet and wearing little clothing for 2 hours and then they found this comic.

Given that logic, no new actors would get any chance of taking the lead in a movie.

We'd be stuck with Tom Cruise until the end of time.

They're taking an actress that people know {Fox} and seeing what she can do with it. If her movies don't make money, they'll stop doing it, if they do, then they'll make more.

Simple, effective, Hollywood logic.

Now how about a Rawhide Kid, Kid Colt, Outlaw Kid, Bat Lash, Scalphunter, or Two-Gun Kid movie?

I heard that she was also looking into the part of Cassie Hack from the comic book Hack/Slash. If this happens it would be great because the chick in that comic wears some SEXy goth outfits... so I can only wish!
