MGM/Fox will be putting out a new release of Dances with Wolves for the film's 25th Anniversary. So far the only new things appear to be a new cover, and an Ultraviolet cover.

Director's cut only, and many prefer the theater cut is about all I know of. Not a big fan myself, but everyone I know is.

Interesting. I'm good with the Directors Cut, but I'm curious to see what this release will have.

After seeing the directors cut so many times I can't imagine going back to the theatrical. Hopefully this has the theatrical cut for those who are interested.

The current disc looks pretty darn good and has a wealth of features. Can't see buying it again even if it is a new disc.

I bought that before the US BD was released. I kept it and made my own combo pack so I could have both versions.

I'm aware; my frustration comes more out of principal than anything. This is an American movie that won 7 Oscars but whose theatrical version (as in the version that won said Oscars) hasn't seen a Blu-ray release in its own home country. I vaguely recall Costner himself saying he had little to do with assembling the longer cut and prefers the TC anyway, so why they wouldn't make that available is just stupid.

I didn't like the Director's Cut either, so I purchased the Theatrical Version on blu-ray from the UK, about a year ago.

I will buy this again if it includes both cuts. The only release in the world that has both cuts is the DE release and it's region B locked.

MGM has been doing a lot of remastering to their catalog titles so.....I'll bite again if this 25th anniversary has both cuts of the film and mastered in 4K.

Knowing Fox and their history with the anniversary re-releases (Speed, Napoleon Dynamite, Big...) I would be shocked if this turns out to be anything more than a lazy reissue with a slipcover.

Quite happy with my 20th anniversary edition with the awesome slip, as this will no doubt be a cash grab.

This movie has one of my favorite slipcovers. I like the look and feel of the 20th Anniversary slip.
