Hi all, I have been reading of various titles coming to BD this year (with a huge influx in the fall) and I was wondering if anyone has any new on The Girl Next Door directed by Luke Greenfield.

Elisha Cuthbert in High Definition, this is a must!

I would love for this to get a release, however, I am not sure if this is high up on the list for bluray release this year. If it comes, I am pre-ordering immediately!!!

Just don't be fooled by the brief nudity - it is a body double!

The film itself is loosely based on Risky Business. But much less serious. Much less.

To answer the PQ question, it's pretty poor. This is hands down the most marginal upgrade from DVD I have bought. Great flick, but terrible Blu.

Is this not even worth getting even for the low price of $7.49? I've heard the PQ is almost as bad as the dvd...

It's not (as bad as dvd).

Definitely not a good transfer, but definitely blu-ray and only in people's minds is this dvd quality.

For $7.49? I can't imagine how anyone with an interest in this film could pass it up at the price.

Just go in expecting it to be a lower end release for pq that's still better than dvd. It's certainly not a disaster, in my collection that's most represented by The Truth About Cats and Dogs.

Agreed for the most part. I'd definitely get this for $7.49 if I didn't already own it. I ended up getting rid of the DVD during one of Best Buy's Upgrade & Save promotions. I don't remember what I paid for this exactly, but after factoring the $5 for the U&S promotion, I'm sure I didn't pay much.
