This might be the highlight of the night. For all unaware of this film put it on your radar.

This seems like more of a Code Red title, I'm pretty hyped for this assuming it's not one of those limited editions, though I'd still buy it in that form. This is an obscure film that is actually a minor classic, unlike most of those double features they've been putting out for the last couple years. I'll buy this day one for sure.

This is an all-time horror classic. Hopefully, Scream will get the full uncut version. Both the Spanish and US theatrical versions are missing some footage.

A gem of a film that I've hoped for years will get a proper release. Which means that they need to get the longer cut that was on the Australian VHS and not just put out the AIP version

I'd say it seems more like an Arrow release, since the 99% titles released by Code Red are garbage, but OK.

It's an awesome movie. Highly atmospheric, with beautiful cinematography and awesome music. And, while it's a Spanish movie, I consider it as one of the very best giallos out there.

Hopefully, Scream will give it the treatment it deserves.

The complete uncut version ( matching the Aussie tape ) was on TV in the 90's through Orion, so presumably MGM have the proper elements and just need to transfer them.

Arrow hasn't done anything Spanish that I can recall, but yeah, it's more like them in the quality department. I guess I was thinking more like the handful of old Spanish horror films released by Code Red (People Who Own the Dark, Vampire's Night Orgy). It's quality-wise much more like Scorpion's "Candle for the Devil," or BU's "Living Dead at Manchester Morgue" I suppose. From what I've heard this is an all-timer. They spent a lot of time on it in that wonderful Mark Gatiss documentary "Horror Europa" from a few years ago.

So excited for this! The director also made WHO CAN KILL A CHILD? - imo, the best of all the killer children movies imo.

The US theatrical version of HOUSE THAT SCREAMED was missing some expository material, while the Spanish theatrical version was missing some gore and "adult content" images. Hopefully, Scream Factory will gain access to the complete export version, released in Australia as BOARDING SCHOOL, I think it was.

This is one of the best horror films that never got a decent release. If you like "Suspiria" check it out. The bit at the end (Spoiler) seemed to have inspired parts of "Silence of the Lamb".

So, do we know if it'll have both cuts or just the US cut, which I believe was on the Scream Factory DVD released a couple years back.

Shout only released it under their Elvira double-feature line, and from my memory it was the longer cut (although still missing moments), but it was a poor source anyway so I'm sure that's not what they're going to use for this new edition.

IF the full uncut version is used for the Blu-ray, there would be no need for multiple versions. The US cut was missing some stuff, and the Spanish original was missing other stuff (Spain was under Franco at the time of filming, and I don't mean Jess Franco!).

Australia got the full length version under the title BOARDING HOUSE, but I believe that was only released on PAL VHS, and not in widescreen.

Total gem...was really surprised by this announcement last night. As others have already posted above I too hope they can get the full cut and not just the AIP.
