One of my favorite contemporary Jet Li movies. Finally, it's getting the treatment it deserves!

Seeing Fist of Legend being out less than a month from now, this means Fong Sai Yuk in 4K is not far behind from being announced. Hope 88 gets it as well.

at least its going to have all new special features on the disc because when dragon dynasty released it on DVD with 4 other films there was nothing on the disc so nothing is going to ruin the release.

Was there no alternative original English audio available for this or was Miramax the only route?

- The Miramax version was cut and also in 5.1. Trying to patch something together would've been a nightmare, and using a downfold would've upset somebody somewhere.
- No idea if there was an English dub made when this came out. I'd imagine so but I've never heard of it.
- I don't think any of this matters. Fist of Legend didn't have an English dub, and there was both an original dub and a Miramax dub. The licensor, which I believe is the same one for this film, presumably didn't allow it for whatever reasons. I'd imagine something similar is at play here.

China Star Entertainment Group was the licensor, not Miramax.

They addressed that over social media a little while back and confirmed that with Bodyguard going forward that all versions would be the same (slip, booklet, etc)

Seeing the trailer for it. I've never seen this one. I know the title, HK and US. But somehow never seen this one. I thought I had seen all his modern day set ones of that period.

Watched the movie today. It's been a great while but I found the movie to be very entertaining altogether. It still sticks out for its' high-octane action scenes, great chemistry between Jet Li and Christy Chung as well as Kent Cheng, and a great villain in Collin Chou. Damn good Jet Li/Corey Yuen Kwai collaboration, their top 3 best works!

Some people are complaining about the restoration being too dark though. Looks fine to me.
