I doubt it since Inglourious Basterds was already released on 4K in the U.K. by Universal, whereas this wasn't.

They did a really cool job with that packaging. That "leather wallet" style packaging totally messed with my brain.

Well damn, I'm pretty annoyed now that I picked up the Paramount UHD lol. This looks sweet. I kinda love that new packaging.

Will this be a new encode though? There was quite a bit of black crush on Paramount's 4K.

The Paramount has been advertised with "director approved yada yada" as well IIRC, so this will be interesting in regard to the blacks in particular indeed.

The wallet packaging is a bit gimmicky for me (feels very Titans of Cult), but then Jourdain Searles in the book is a plus.

I guess it doesn’t actually include the coke seen in the mock up?

Still haven't watched my regular BD. I might tonight and then see if this is worth importing to me.

Sure would be nice for Geoff to be QCing this, so he can try and get Arrow to lift the blacks a tad (assuming the crushiness isn't baked into the master).

If FIM did the encoding David could maybe shed some light on that question.

If it does, and it costs less than a hundred quid, I'll be buying several copies.

That's the kind of tat I could get on-board with.

Yeah, I guess I will be dropping the Paramount 4K and the BD I bought to pair with it and will be going for this now.

Ergh this looks so much better than the Paramount release. The steelbook I have is no match to this, plus this transfer will probably look better than Paramount. Paramount transfer looks like a lazy upscale with low bitrate.
