mitsubishi DLP

This is my first post on here, so hi!

I'm getting ready to buy the Sony Blu-ray player and need to upgrade my Mitsubishi 54" HD rear projection TV, as I want to be able to recieve the 1080p and my Mits. does not have the HDMI input. I was looking at the 57" Diamond series DLP from Mits. Just wondering what you guys thought of it and if it will work well with the Blu-ray player? Can't find any info on the Mits website as to whether the TV supports 1080p/24.

Also, if I understand it correctly, will the Blu-ray send the raw 1080p to the DLP via the HDMI cable and it will in-turn display that without changing it to 1080i and then back to 1080p again?

Also, are there any setup Blu-ray discs available such as the AVIA or Video Essentials discs that are for DVD. If not, anyone know of plans to release them. I guess I can still use them, but I would think that a Blu-ray version would be better to calibrate Blu-ray playback.
