Paramount will be releasing Clueless on 4K on July 8th for its 30th Anniversary! There will be two editions, a Standard release (though currently listed as a Steelbook), and an Amazon Exclusive Collector's Edition Steelbook that comes with a poster, stickers, and many other stuff.

This is one of the best looking blurays I own- it's gonna be real easy for the 4k to look worse than the blu if they drop the ball on this

That's a bold claim to make from the king of thread parking.

Fact is, I *had* a source at the studio (who has since been let go from the recent layoffs) who let me know they were working on this, as well as some other recent titles. Only recently did I decide to start sharing just some of the tidbits I heard (I had heard about the restorations of Goodbar and The Keep, for example, but didn't want to get anyone's hopes up because those films were so up in the air for years).

It's all moot at this point anyway.

None of my threads are parked. I make threads based on actual information that I can point to if need be.

Paramount's been pretty good with their stuff and only had one title I have wanted that didn't get a standard (Stardust) so hopefully they don't join in on Sony/Disney and Lionsgate's favoring of steelbook only releases.

Paramount has a steelbook and a standard release for the Section 31 movie so Clueless is most likely to both versions.

To keep the Blu-ray checkered Steelbook or not and throw this disc in it? Decisions..
Also with the Target/recent MSRP Trauma of $50+ for some of these new released, $22-$24 MSRP is quite nice. Wish I could've gotten it on the B2G1 Target sale that just ended.

It does look amazing - already available on digital. Heavy grain management but still looks great.
