Default Bill Hunt/Graffeo HD DVD debate video from July 2007

I heard there was a video floating around from the HD DVD panel at HME where Bill Hunt and others basically disprove everything the HD DVD panel is saying about Blu-ray. Anybody have a link, I'd love to see it.

Here you go, it's pretty much all of it in 7 clips. I haven't watched it yet.

TO ANYONE WHO WATCHES THIS, IT WOULD BE AWESOME IF YOU SAY WHICH CLIP AND AT WHAT TIMES DURING THOSE CLIPS WE CAN SEE THE BEST PARTS (ie. BILL HUNT'S Q'S)

I can't watch them either. You have to have quicktime 7 which only runs on xp or vista.

I can't get it to work. I've downloaded the newest version of Quicktime and tried three browsers, IE, Firefox, and Safari. No go.

looks like about 20 people showed up for this, mostly men with lots of combovers + lots of empty seats in the room & is set in a small conference room.

"I've got a HDTV not a Blu-Ray tv"

" you have to buy a HDMI port for $100 for the ps3" uh I don't own a PS3 but I know the HDMI port is built-in too the ps3

And don't forget that extra controller for $80 - $100.

He probably meant an HDMI cable, which can be costly at the places selling the PS/3. But, generally that's under $50, not $100. Unless you buy one of those crazy ones like Monster.

Graffeo has the look and sound of a used car salesman. He's seems like an habitual liar.

"The other reason we went with HD DVD is because of the Toshiba announcement about laptops".

Ah, you went HD DVD in 2005 because Toshiba announced the laptop plan in 2007.

Cause and effect doesn't seem to apply in Graffeo's universe.

Gary

interesting videos.....i really have to say....ken graffeo is ridiculously mechanical....everytime he is asked a question, he avoids it almost immediately by reciting some obscure statistic.....actually....he does this so many times it gets incredibly annoying.....of course a high level executive is going to pay attention to stats but you can tell this guy just has no common technical sense....amazing that he is the one prolonging this war.....one guy that really asked some great questions couldnt really get a straight answer (yellow shirt..at the beginning of clip 2)....the hd-dvd guys seem to think that cheap prices, and a finished format with interactivity is the road to victory...and that content doesnt matter.....just amazing...do they not realize that in 6 months to a year, blu-ray will inherit everything that is good about hd-dvd and advance even more...and by then prices will be very low.....so whats left? CONTENT.....we all know the exclusives that are rattled off in these forums everyday......who in their right mind is going to buy an hd-dvd player when they cant have these titles? and its not like there is really a possibility for disney or fox to go neutral let alone switch....they are obsessed with copy protection and what these hd-dvd guys seem to not understand is that in the eyes of these studios, this is a huge format flaw.......if by an act of god, hd-dvd pulled tight, and ran away to win....the remaining studios would want another format....but the reality is...its already here in blu-ray
graffeo does not have the presence of someone who runs a company....not a good speaker at all, seems nervous.....and really doesnt seem human...LOL

The second is the only one where they get into it a bit. It's mostly the same stuff discussed on forums.

If you can't play it wait for it to load up and hit the play button. It doesn't start automatically and your cursor will not let you know when you are over the button. I

I don't even get a play button. If I use IE I get a white box, if I use Firefox I just get nothing.

This is rediculous. The fat man on the right Michael is a jabroni. He claims that most people hook up their PCs to their TV.

We will definately talk about this on the radio show on Monday.

Yeah he says, you gotta get an extra controller, thats $80

Thats a closer assumption on 360 by time you get a controller and a play n charge kit, extra battery for the first controller...you'd be about $80 there.

I'm going to quote my Rant in the rant thread, since it basically got over-looked there. I was pissed after watching...here are my thoughts:

Originally Posted by BTBuck1 View Post

And try's to compare those to ps3 sales. I mean seriously,do these HDDVD guys have their heads so far up their bumms to really think that is a comparison to ps3? First off, PS3 is like a multimedia center thats permanently connected to your TV and is a comfortable experience. Who really connects laptops to their HDTV's??? WHo even connects portable DVD players to a TV (unless on vacations in a hotel room) This was an absurd, desperate counter point to the ps3 factor. Do these Dinks not realize that on a laptop screen the PQ difference between a DVD & an HDDVD is almost indistinguishable? Good Gawd, they truly are MORONS! And what was the point of Robert Zhon being there? He just sat there like a dunce, someone should have thrown a sign around his neck saying "I'm just here for moral support" He had one pointless thing to say: "out of the 4,000 HDDVD players i've sold, nobody has returned one because it didn't play Blu-ray discs" Well no SH*T, you sold em all to AVS forum ya doof!
And the Damn Universal guy, was sitting their so smug, you can just tell Toshiba is lining his pockets. This guy is SOOooOoo gonna get fired for some ethics related stuff, I could tell by his body language he was hiding something. His rebuttles were ridiculously lame, and easily countered. God I wish I would have been there, it would have been a bloodbath for those guys. I woulda told "Ps2 family guy" "sit down-I'll take it frome here, buddy". Seemed like the crowd there for the most part wanted to massage these clowns ego's rather than get some real info and answers from them.

That video pissed me off, and took away an hour of my life I wish I had back to enjoy a Blu-ray disc with.
