finally saw The Departed. - Blu-ray Forum

finally got around to renting this. i'm not quite sure how i fell about it yet. i might have to watch it again.

what's the general opinion of this movie?

I thought it was excellent. One of the films of last year..Fantastic cast, and brilliantly written. Thumbs up from me!

yeah, it was good. i just found myself lost at some parts, especially in the beginning. but i guess that's with every movie.

It was fairly good -- certainly not as great as the critics reviewed it, imo.

I thought it was awesome.
I remember when I went to see it, I was thinking I haven't seen a good movie like that in awhile.

This is one of my favorite movies, on Blu-ray or otherwise. I'd give it another watch. This is one of those that I really fell in love with after seeing it two or three times, now it's one of my go to films if I can't decide what to watch.

It was basically a remake of "Infernal Affairs", which is much better.

Dicaprio(SP?) was brilliant, the anxiety and fear you could just feel from his acting while he talked his way out of situations. I thought the whole cast was perfect, loved Wahlberg, all in all a great picture from Scorcesse(Sp?) right up there with good fellas

my husband liked it alot, and he fell asleep not even half way through! haha but he loves Jack, so i knew he'd like this movie. i'll probably buy it from target during that sale coming up. btw.. i'll also be purchasing Troy

Yep, I liked it better when it was called Infernal Affairs too.

Nicholson hurt it IMO. I would have liked to see somebody else take that role.

I'm not interested in The Departed. I didn't like the Godfather movies, I can't stand The Sopranos either. Gansgter/organized crime-themed movies just don't do it for me.
