Default When Universal and Paramount go Blu...

When Universal and Paramount goes Blu, will we have higher quality support on titles using top PQ and lossless audio than they were developing for HD DVD? I don't want to have to double dip if they start releasing movies like that in the beginning.

ie. Warner and Paramount titles used DD only essentially giving us a DUD version of same title.

They'll have to. Fox and Disney have the standard. Even Lionsgate have uped (spelling) there standards because of those two. Just look at Stargate. While not bad, 310 To Yume kicks it's ass when compared to that. Universal and Paromount will have to step up there game.

Man I hope so. I seriously hate double dipping when it comes to media. Now I'm OK with it at the horsedeouvres table.

They have to redo every single encoding process for BD cos its impossible to port HD DVD movies with whatever encoding they've used (I think).

I was afraid someone would say that. If I buy a 39 cent DUD player, I could get all the movies I want right now. Then up-grade (not double dip, I would never do that) to the same blu movies with higher encoding! I be smart!

my question is..will we have to pay the regular $30-35 prices on movies that have been out on the other format for months/years. i don't expect the crazy low prices now, but they better not expect us to pay full price on the older releases
