Anchorman's commentary was different. I didn't care for it, but if you've heard a bunch of them, and want to hear something unique, give it a shot. It's just a bunch of goofy guys being goofy. They even invite Any Richter and Lou Rawls, even though they have nothing to do with the movie

My favourite ones are:
John Carpenter & Kurt Russell - The Thing Catriona MacColl & David Warbeck - The Beyond John Carpenter & Kurt Russell - Escape From New York Worst? Not sure but I've always struggled to make it all of the way through most of the James Bond commentary tracks (they usually tend to be incredibly dull imo). |

I stopped listening to audio commentaries long ago because I found most of them to be completely useless, and uninformative. Not all but most. The exception is the Matrix trilogy audio commentaries. It gave so much philisophical insight into the trilogy it made me really appreciate all 3 movies as a whole. I always like Reloaded and Revolutions anyway. To me it's the best of the best. Everything else is just producers, actors and directors patting each other on the back. Same goes with special features.

My favorites are any with John Carpenter. Bonus points for ones where Kurt Russell joins him. I also really enjoy the Wes Craven/Kevin Williamson one for Scream, which was my very first commentary when I bought a special two-VHS box set.
The worst I've heard is probably Stuart Baird's commentary for U.S. Marshals. I love the movie, but the commentary is sooooo boring. He's really dry, goes for long stretches without saying anything and, if I remember correctly, the commentary actually ends about 40 minutes or so before the movie does!! |

My favorite, hands down, is Milla Jovovich and Michelle Rodriguez in the first Resident Evil. Hilarious. It's the only commentary I've listened to several times.
The worst is anything where they just describe what's happening on screen for the entire movie (like The Exorcist). |

The Superbad commentary is worth a listen. About half way into it Jonah Hill and Judd Apatow have a fight about Jonah cursing infront of Judd's daughter. After so long Judd and his daughter leave the commentary.
Whether the fight was real or for the commentary who knows. |
