Artistically, do you think directors and stars mind direct to streaming movies having no lasting appeal?
Being in theaters or not does NOT equate to quality and vice versa obviously but it seems like movies dont ‘matter’ when it’s purely out on streaming platforms So many big-name directors and stars nowadays seem to not mind when their big movies are just seemingly forgotten after a few days. Whether it’s Chris Evans on Ghosted/Grey Man or Zack Snyder on all his Netflix movies and a slew of other. Are they TRULY ok with taking the big payday these streamers offer them and having their movies more often than not just relegated to the void.? Sure some of these movies are getting big view numbers but I can’t put my finger on it but it seems like they just don’t matter. Like is this just an antiquated view of seeing things? a good movie is a good movie no matter HOW it's seen right? Do I make sense? Feels like I might not convey what im trying to say very well lol Last edited by Jonno2009; 12-09-2024 at 03:48 PM. |
