Has Blu-ray quality already been maxed out??

I was thinking about this the other day. With DVD, there was quite a noticable increase in picture and sound quality over the years as the format matured and compression got better and better. However with blu ray, after seeing movies like I-Robot, Cars, Ratatoullie, Apocalypto, and the POTC films, I cannot possibly imagine PQ and AQ getting all that much better! It's kind of a bummer seeing as how blu ray is still in it's infancy.
