Has Blu-ray quality already been maxed out??

You will see big jumps in picture quality over the next several years, but not because of compression technology. Cameras and post production techniques will improve significantly as digital cinema takes hold. When films are not shot well today, it really shows up in HD. The industry is going to have to respond to this.
