So I have seen some pretty intense thriller films, and some of them get really dark, and hit quite hard.
Some of the most intense thriller films I've seen that I enjoyed, or loved Wait Until Dark Below gets more and more intense as the film goes on A Simple Plan The Glass House Deep Cover Kalifornia Assault on Precinct 13 this film man this film Deadly Hero Seven The Visitors Hokuriku Proxy War Breakdown Panic Room The Bone Collector Blue Steel Nightcrawler Taxi Driver Bad Lieutenant City of Industry Black Mask great martial arts too The Bodyguard From Beijing Internal Affairs starring Richard Gere Southern Comfort I couldn't not put this one here Unleashed The Great Silence great snowy spaghetti western thriller that has one of the darkest endings in cinema ever Narc Training Day 52 Pick Up Marathon Man Prisoners In Bruges Rear Window Vertigo Frenzy Rope Stagefright North by Northwest Peeping Tom Devil in a Blue Dress Targets Menace II Society brutal feels like a horror film at times, and the ending hits really hard Any other intense thriller film suggestions that are on Blu-Ray that I should check out, and probably pick up? Surveillance (2008). It was directed by Jennifer Lynch, and after seeing it, her father (David) called her to say "you're the sickest ***** I know".
One False Move (1992). Admittedly, it's more of a crime drama, but it has moments that are very chilling. |

HARDCORE (1979) and its unofficial remake 8MM (1999) are pretty intense.

SISTERS (1972) from Brian De Palma might be more horror than thriller, but I find it to be quite intense.

I haven't seen either of them in years, but I went through a South Korean film phase a while back, and The Chaser and The Yellow Sea were favorites that would seem to fit the thread description. I think Chaser is the more popular one, but I remember TYS being just as impressive, and as I tend to be biased toward longer movies, I liked its sprawl
