Default Don King's Prizefighter

I know I've mentioned that 2K games was working on a boxing title in some other thread, but I think it's time this game get it's own thread.

The recent issue of Game Informer (the awesome Resistance 2 issue) had another small blurb about this game and revealed that it's title is going to be Don King's Prizefighter (or maybe it was Don King Presents Prizefighter, I forget at the moment).

Previously it was reported that Kelly Pavlik was in talks to sign on for this game. I hope more details follow soon.

Im with ya man. I would love a new boxing game. I still love fight night but i prefer 2K sports over EA.

Yeah, we're gonna need that. I heard EA is shutting down the fight night series.

Shin-Ra comes through again with some awesome screen caps. Thank you!! I only wish I had a clue what that website was talking about.

Me want. Me want very bad.

To address the previous question about whether or not it's coming to the PS3... I can't imagine why it wouldn't. I'm not too familiar with sports games in general, but I don't know of any that console exclusive. I think the idea with most sporting games is to reach as wide an audience as possible. Besides, if it doesn't come out on the PS3 I will cry like a little school girl.

I kind of agree. I couldn't believe they actually got people to do buy Pay Per View for two has been fighters. And it seems a little harsh to call them has beens when it was just a short time ago that they were champs, but oy.

I just read the outcome on HBO.com and that was enough for me. I'll maybe watch the free repeat this Saturday, but eh.

Now Taylor/Pavlik 2? Oh mama I can't wait.

nah, im not knocking either of them, but you gotta know when to quit(Toshiba and HD DeaD). Nobody wants to see two old men fight unless its a bum fight on the street.

P.S. Roy was THE beast in his prime.

LOL. I think Calzaghe might annihilate Jones. Though... the last time I saw Calzaghe fight against that younger dude that people thought would beat him, Calzaghe looked awfully sloppy to me for someone with such a stellar fight record. I think I'd much rather see Calzaghe and Hopkins go at it, especially since Hopkins thinks that no white man could ever knock him out. I love when reverse racism happens and nobody cares.

I guess it's not so much 'reverse' racism as it just racism, but not as we're accustomed to seeing it. I like Hopkins, but that guy is a little too arrogant sometimes.

No PS3 version has been announced so I'm moving this off-topic.

Maxboxing.com has some of the most atrocious writing known to man, sadly they cover boxing better than any site I've found.

Here's an interesting story about Calzaghe's thoughts on Hopkin's racist remarks...
