Default Stephen King's The Mist

So I bought the Blu Ray a few weeks ago at Best Buy on sale it was a blind buy I have never seen it. I just got around to watching it and I thought it was brilliant, it keep me guessing what was going to happen next. Not sure about how I felt about the ending, but still one of those movies that caught me by surprise.

What were your thoughts about the movie?

Liked the movie...except for the ending! However, the ending was the same as the book.

I actually stood at Best Buy looking at this one earlier today. Almost picked it up, I think I will next time. The buzz that I've heard has been pretty good for it. I'm interested to see all the different characters and their decisions. Sounds thought provoking.

Saw this last night again actually.

I liked this movie very much, including the ending. It's a very "AW HELL NO!" ending. Makes you wonder what you would do. I also thought it was a great way to finish off the movie.

The old woman was my favorite character

I guess thats what I liked about it was the realism of everyone in the movie. And it also had me thinking what would I do?

Very very good film, needs to be watch in B/W for the best viewing which comes on the BD. The ending was so ****ed up, but in a good way. How the director managed to convince the money people to let him do it, I will never know.

The ending was Not The Same as in the short story. It's one of my favorite short stories by King.

Actually, it's a completely different ending than the novella...

Love this movie!! I agree the ending is crazy but im glad they did it. Makes you think and thats the best thing that you can get from a movie. What would I do? Kinda like Last House on the Left remake. I have seen this a few times not on BD, may pick it up.

I was disappointed with the look of the black and white version that's included with this release. Since the movie was not shot in black and white originally, the image is much softer and murkier than it should be. Costuming, art direction, and cinematography were all designed for a color movie which makes the colorless version look like a mess of grey blobs rather than a true black and white movie.

I liked the movie, but felt like I had been punched in the gut after it was over. And it confirmed my suspicions that religion is poison and would only cause harm in an "end of the world" scenario.

One of the best endings in recent memory. In the short story I think they
[Show spoiler]just drive off into the mist
.....which wouldn't have been nearly as interesting as the movie's ever-so slightly altered ending.

I've never felt so claustrophobic watching a movie as I did in that grocery store when things started to go bad...

Brilliant film. Truly terrifying, and not because of the creatures, but the humans. My favorite of 2007.

that was when it really started to get good. I believe that something would happen like that in that situation.

I thought the movie was fantastic and the ending was beyond genius. I left the theater feeling great that someone was still willing to make a daring movie.
