Added Laserblast. Also, there's talks of Full Moon releasing a new, unedited version of Tourist Trap.

You just told me on the other thread that the new release is for streaming. Which is it?

Regarding THE BEST OF SEX AND VIOLENCE, and FAMOUS T&A, are there plans to release those on Blu-ray?

Secondly, I've heard the DVDs are essentially VHS quality. For anyone who has seen them, is that true?

I imagine the masters for those exist on video, as opposed to film, but it would still be great to see them get an upgraded release on Blu-ray. Anyone have any info?

I'm a bit confused (no surprise). How does this differ from the "Full Moon" releases?

These are films that Charles Band produced before he created Empire, which was followed by, Full Moon.

The films that he still has control over from this time period he's just releasing under the Full Moon banner since that company is still active.

FYI, The Day Time Ended has been released by a company called Grapevine. It's full framed 1.33 though and on a BD-r, not much word on the quality of it but I wouldn't expect much.

Added the announced Parasite release from Kino. Also mention the Full Moon release of The Day Time Ended which they mentioned in a recent email.
Added international alternatives to the 2 botched releases (Fairy Tales and Tourist Trap)

Added upcoming releases of End of the World and Cinderella.
I think Auditions might be the only possible release yet. Band disowns Last Foxtrot in Burbank and I think the compilation films (The Best of Sex and Violence, Famous T&A and Filmgore) were compiled on video.

Not a physical release (at least not yet), but Last Foxtrot in Burbank was just added to Full Moon Streaming! Particularly surprising since I had previously read that Band disowned it.

Hard to believe he would disown anything.

I can't find any good sources, and it was quite possible hearsay, but from what I remember, Band considered Mansion of the Doomed as his first "real" film, I was under the impression it was because Foxtrot was basically porn.

No more so than a couple others on that list, no?

Found an interview from 2005, here's what he says about Foxtrot
Quote:
Tell us about the first movie you produced, Last Foxtrot in Burbank. How did that come about?

Well you know it's funny that you mention the one movie that I'd love to forget. I'd like to hope that my first film is recognized as Mansion of the Doomed because it was a movie that was the first genre film, the first film I wanted to make. I did lend my sort of uh, energetic services to this project. There were other people involved. There was a writer named Frank Ray Parelli who really...he had the project and he wanted me to sort of be involved with the production, which I was. I think I'm listed somewhere as a producer, but it's sort of not my first movie because it was something I did to help Frankie and it's ironic because... I mean proof that it really wasn't my thing is that it's the only movie that I've ever been involved with that wasn't in the genre. It was a satire on The Last Tango in Paris, and from that point forward when I was really involved with making movies, I did pictures in the genre that I enjoyed. But Frankie came to me with the project and we were friends at the time. I was I think 21. So I helped him raise some money and, we made this wacky movie, which sorta came and went very quickly.

I'll tell you about Foxtrot...one really fond memory. I was...I think I helped Frankie rent a...yeah, no for sure we four walled a movie theater. It was like the Pacific theater in Hollywood back in the day, and that was the place where we premiered Foxtrot. And we had a premier and a lot of hoopla and a lot of people showing up, and of course that was all for free, and of course the minute the paying customers were supposed to come, very few people showed up because, you know...no one really cared. But nonetheless, we four walled the theater so I needed someone to be, what they call - at the time they called it the counter, because everyone was afraid you were gonna get ripped off. So there was literally a guy, a trusted friend who stood there at the box office and if three people walked in, he had a little mechanical clicker and he would click, three. Boom boom boom. So at the end, if 32 people showed up for your big hot, 5pm screening in a theater that sat 900 people, you'd at least know what your dollars should be. So I was really depressed because I was involved really just to help Frankie in something that really wasn't my thing and I thought, even at the time...boy, I'm really gonna not wanna ever talk about this weird movie. So I went home and it was my closest friend at the counter. I said, "Steve, anything happens, any good news happens, let me know." So...and I expected nothing. Then around eight o'clock, which was around the time the screening was on that should have been the most attended screening, he calls me like ecstatic saying, "I've got incredible news!" And of course at the time, being so involved with in the funding and just involved with this movie, my heart skipped a beat. I though, "Oh my god. A thousand people showed up. My fortune's gonna change." I said, "Well what's the great news?" He said, "Dude, John Lennon and Yoko Ono came to see your movie!" So of course being a Beatles fan, I mean on one hand I was like, wow that's far out, but it couldn't have been more depressing news because for a moment I thought we filled the theater up, and instead there were 14 schmoes, but John was there and Yoko, so...yeah, that's the good and the bad news. Foxtrot quickly disappeared, and then I put my energies into my first movie, which I produced called Mansion of the Doomed, and then I've never stopped. But there's a Foxtrot story that no one knows.

The Alchemist being unreleased is really surprising considering it's a horror film.
