Thought I'd throw a link to the 88 Films thread, since their releases of the Full Moon films tend to have better video encodes, lossless audio and/or more extras. As far as I know, their Full Moon releases are all Region Free and without any pesky 1080/50i or SD-PAL content.

For the Full Moon titles I've purchased, and the ones I intend to purchase, I've gone for the 88 Films editions.

I have Puppet Master 1-3 and intend on getting Tourist Trap, Castle Freak and Pit & The Pendulum.

I avoided Full Moon for years thinking they were beneath me, myself being a Horror "snob", but I have recently re-discovered them and I have to say I find all things Full Moon to be very entertaining. I have met and spoken with Charles Band several times and he is genuinely interested in how his fans feel about what he does, and that is rare these days.

Agree Subspecies 2, don't own part 3 yet. For what most of these titles can be had, I won't complain much. I think most of us would agree that the production value of the Full Moon films is high.

88 version will be region free and they will be released at about the same time. 88 films has been doing better jobs with there releases and they not to expensive to import from Amazon.UK

I have both the Puppet Master Box Set and the Subspecies Box sets and enjoy both. I plan on getting Pit & The Pendulum and Castle Freak when the time is right... I really want to know What the hold up has been on a Puppet Master 4-6 set. I enjoy the small collections and realistically will buy every Puppet Master film should he continue to put out the sets regardless of the fact that they get worse and worse. Still, we're nearly half way through 2014 and haven't seen much from Full Moon.. I wonder if something is planned for Fall or if they've backed off the Blu ray's for the time being.

Edit: Interestingly enough, after posting I decided to check out the Full Moon website as I hadn't been there since last October, and all mention of the Subspecies Blu Ray collection has been removed, as has the first film on Blu ray. Individual releases of 2-3 are still there as is a picture of the original (though it's promoting a dvd release). Makes me wonder if it's been pulled indefinitely, or if something else is going on.

So I purchased this last night for $3.97... anyone care to let me know what kind of pain I'm in for? I nearly picked up the puppet master collection on DVD for 4.99 this past weekend (included the first 9 films) but decided to continue waiting for a volume 2/3 box set. Then I found this and decided what the hell. Anyone else bothered suffering through this entry?

I nearly picked up the puppet master collection on DVD for 4.99 this past weekend (included the first 9 films) but decided to continue waiting for a volume 2/3 box set. Then I found this and decided what the hell. Anyone else bothered suffering through this entry?

I watched the entire series last summer. I really liked the first 5, but after that they go downhill fast. Axis of Evil did try with some things, especially at the beginning, and I thought it was the best of the films that came after 5, but that's not saying much. It's still pretty bad. Axis Rising was the worst, though. I tried to approach each entry with an open mind, but there was nothing good I could say about Axis Rising. I'm just looking forward to parts 4 and 5 finally coming to blu, and that, in my opinion, is the end of the Puppet Master series.
