Anyone know if the Euro UHD edition had a new remastered BD included in it, or was it the same remastered presentation as prior edition? To my understanding the UHD was based on the same remaster, but I dont know if the soundtrack options changed. I assume this will bring a remastered BD to North America finally, but for someone who has the region free remastered BD from a handful of years ago already, anything other than a UHD - will it matter to me? I’ll just get the basic UK edition whenever it drops.

Many thanks for scoop. I'll definitely be ordering this one. The Apocalypse Now & Tarantino steelbooks are top shelf.

Was expecting this to be from Criterion, but I'll take this! Means I won't have to deal with their slightly larger cases!

I don’t think Lionsgate / StudioCanal will let the rights to this get away.

Check group buys and/or see if someone will ship it to you.

I "imported" the StudioCanal European 4K collectors set by buying it from a US boutique distributor. Are there similar shops outside the US?

I was hoping that Criterion would put this out. Oh well. I'll probably pick up a standard edition if available.

I had such mixed feelings about this film when I first saw it some twenty years ago.

I watched it twice and still wasn't sure why it was so highly regarded compared to other noir classics. Yet it has stayed with me over the years, I have never forgotten this film, and it seems it might be a good time to revisit it on 4K. Perhaps the 4K restoration will be eye opening for me.

Of course this is announced right after I imported the huge elaborate UK StudioCanal release.
