Resident Evil 4 is a remake of the 2005 original Resident Evil 4.

Reimagined for 2023 to bring state-of-the-art survival horror.

Resident Evil 4 preserves the essence of the original game, while introducing modernized gameplay, a reimagined storyline, and vividly detailed graphics to make this the latest survival horror game where life and death, terror and catharsis intersect.

STORY

6 years have passed since the biological disaster in Raccoon City.

Leon S. Kennedy, one of the survivors of the incident,
has been recruited as an agent reporting directly to the president of the United States.

With the experience of multiple missions on his back,
Leon is sent to rescue the president's kidnapped daughter.

He tracks her to a secluded European village,
where there is something terribly wrong with the villagers.

And the curtain rises on this story of daring rescue and grueling horror.

Can't wait! Love that they're taking a more horror based approach. The worst part about 4 was it's shift to action, and it's removal of a umbrella from the bigger picture. Hopefully this rectifies that. Beautiful either way!

I played the original RE4 for the first time in 2020. It was a great game and one of the better Resident Evil games.

I still haven't played the RE3 ~ remake. I would like to play that before playing this upcoming new one. But, it probably won't matter anyway.

I love the original RE4, it’s in my top 3 RE games. Can’t wait for this, definitely a day 1 buy

Day 1 without a doubt. RE4 is one of the best games ever made.

Looks like one of the most desired remakes ever! I'll jump on this assuming I can get a PS5 by this time next year. Loved the original, but I remember thinking during my play of the PS4 Remaster that modern hardware has created plentiful room for improving the visuals.

Hoping in this spree of 5th/6th gen remakes we see one for Code Veronica as well.

I've yet to play this, so this will likely be a day 1 buy as I loved both of the previous remakes (which I never played before the remakes either).

This and Final Fantasy XVI were my two biggest games from the show.

Face scans. It's all they know now. Nothing unique to the medium, ever.

I fully expect them to remove the cheese for a serious, dark tone.

Really excited for this. I know it would have never happened, but I wish Capcom wouldn't have cancelled the original project when they decided to go for more of a "reimagined" remake. I'd love to see the original game with gameplay and story perfectly intact on the new engine in addition to the version we're getting.

I'm constantly missing this section. LOL.

So, it looks scarier than the original. Always found that, personally, the original RE4 is overrated. While it has some scary moments, it's also rather repetitive and not particularly as good as the PlayStation era games. The PS1, obviously. Kung Fu and wrestling attacks? Jesus...

Hopefully, Capcom changes all of that.

That’s a good thing tbh, leave that cheese to Dante. it was the worst part about RE4

I hope they don’t drastically change the good parts of story like the did with both re2 remake and re 3 remake they change parts of story in both that wasn’t good choices chief irons Ada Leon Claire sherry annette you keep their personalities and make the tone more serious the only characters that got an improvement in 2 was kendo and Marvin and we are barely in the city and the story is a mess. Now resident evil 3 it was only a few characters that didn’t get a upgrade personality and story wise but I think the one that got a downgrade in parts of the story was Brad vickers and the game was too short both games I found out were rushed.

Love Ada's new and more tactical outfit. Hopefully they'll use the same face model as they did in RE2R.
