They have tons of HD restorations readily available that haven't been on Blu-ray before, the more they include the better.

I'm not buying it if it's ruined with DNR though, there's just no point. I'd happily pay a higher price for them to give up their cheap ways.

In theory, this set should be mostly complete. Of all the known "problem" Bugs shorts (the dozen that were pulled from the Cartoon Network marathon in 2001), only 4 or so would probably be truly out of bounds; almost all the rest have been released on DVD and/or Blu-Ray in some form or another.

WB being too cheap to restore the remaining shorts would be the real cause of omissions.

I won't lose any sleep if they ultimately have to leave off the two obvious "bad wabbits" but this is pretty exciting if it has a substantial amount of Bugs cartoons. There's a lot of great ones that only made it to DVD, not to mention the ones that were in the wrong aspect ratio on that one Super Stars disc.

First thing I'm wondering is if they can include Lumber Jack-Rabbit in true 3D.

Coming October 21 in France, possibly earlier in the US. This is the same way the Batman TAS and Batman Beyond releases were discovered, french listings leak about a week before the Comic-con panel.

This set is quite expensive, more so than the Flintstones complete series set - hopefully meaning that it will have quite a large amount of content. Full details will be announced July 23 at the Comic-con panel.

Will be grabbing this, however I hope it comes out in October when I would have more free money. Going to guess this will have all the Bugs Bunny shorts from the classic era.

(There are probably more here I have yet to notice)

Considering how Looney Tunes has been treated on DVD lately by WHV I think it's best to keep expectations low. I think at least the Platinum Collection restorations and the confirmed new restorations are a safe bet, and I would be pretty happy if they also included the restored shorts stuck on DVD. (though I'm not very optimistic about the chances Southern Fried Rabbit and Mississippi Hare have)
