uhm... I'm pretty sure Toshiba were already "backing" PS3's long ago... IIRC, it was IBM, Sony, and Toshiba who developed the Cell processor so... I'd say old news.

Plus, I'm sure Sony said they were selling of their share in Cell already in the fall/late summer of 2007
