Default Yamaha or Infinity for Surrounds/Backs?

Our family just purchased the Yamaha RX-V663 yesterday to begin re-building our HT for hi-def. We currently have two Yamaha towers, a Yamaha sub, and an Infinity center and two Infinity bookshelf rears. We'd like to add two more surround speakers either as the surround pair or surround back. I guess the budget would be $300 at most for both. A few questions..

Which brand is better? Infinity or Yamaha?
Are these Yamaha speakers good?
How about these Infinity speakers?

You're not limited to either brand - is it an esthetic choice?

Both are good, but I'd lean towards the Infinity. I'm just more familiar with them, you're probably a better judge than I, since you have both brands.

"YAMAHA" I have YAMAHA and Infinity love both. YAMAHA speakers for front, center, surround,
surround back, and surround subwoofer's. and Infinity subwoofer's for the front.
but I would have to go with the YAMAHA's. for the surround back's. some nice YAMAHA NS-333's

take a look at my HT gallery PIC's hope you like them

Cool

I personally like Infinity better, but even more importantly, the Infinity's are 8 ohms.- a much better match for your receiver. 6-ohm speakers will try to draw more current than the receiver may be able to produce. The more speakers you add & the lower the resistance of the speaker, the harder the receiver has to work.

Added bonuses:
Infinity's have a better frequency response & a higher sensitivity.

To improve even further, all of your speakers need to match. Most speakers brands sound noticeably different. You don't want the sound to change as the camera pans left to right or front to back. I would go for the Infinity's P362's to use up front & just go with a 5.1 setup. If you want 7.1, sell the Yamaha towers & buy the P162's for the back, as well. Keep the Yamaha sub. It's not as important to have a matching brand sub.

Ok, great. Thanks. All this is good to know. Actually, you just gave me an idea. We have mainly Yamaha's at our second home, and a pair of Polks. So in that setup, I could move the Yamaha bookshelf fronts to the sides, take away the Polks, and bring the Yamaha towers into the mix. Then sell the Polk bookshelf speakers, and get a set each of Infinity P362's and P162's, which do look nice. I don't know how soon all of this could get done, but at least there's a plan.
"It's all part of the plan."

Just got 2 Infinity P162's for $160 at Crutchfield. Later down the road, I think we'll get the Infinity towers. I don't think my parents have the trained ears to hear the difference between brands.
