Default Actually saw an OLED Screen for ...

... The first time !
Yesterday I went to this big store downtown Brussels and they had this OLED TV screen on display. It's one thing to hear about a new technology but it's another to actually see it and I thought I'd share that with you guys.

Of course the downside being that this was only an 11 inches TV for about 4000 Euros. Crazy price for sure but at least the stuff is coming

That is nuts. They sell for CAD$2500 (~1550 Euros) at my local Sony Style store. And I think they were on special after Xmas for CAD$2200.

apart from the jaw dropping price, what was your initial reaction to the tv? How was the pq etc?

I saw one at my local Sony Style store. The pq is pretty sweet but it would look better on a big screen.

^^^ I've seen one at the Sony Store also, its not even Hi Def, but its 11" so what the hell... Nice PQ Everything else was well, not to hot...Price, size, longevity are crappy, but one day when I'm about 92 or so they'll have a 65" for around $30,000 ( inflation ) & drop it in my coffin....

Well they were showing some DVD on it but with an 11 inches screen you cannot really enjoy HD. The only cool visible thing is how thin the screen is. Mostly, the reaction is psychological, just to know that it's OLED and not LCD.
