Default Auto shutoff on subwwofer (Power Save)

Does anyone use this feature or leave it on all the time. I was curious if it was bad on it always shutting off and on. I thought about plugging it into the back of my receiver to come off and on with everything else. Any suggestions?

I had an old jvc sub and left it on all the time.
I just got a new klipsch sub and I turn it off when my receiver is off.

I currently manually turn my sub on and off. I have had issue with the auto shutoff turning off during long quiet moments (longer than 10 minutes) during a movie.

Also you not plug it in your receiver. The receiver may not be able to handle load going through it. I have a Yamaha RX1700 receiver and it can only handle a 100watt load and my sub is rated over 250.

I have never had a sub where the auto-on worked properly (and I have had 4). I just leave them on all the time.

when i had an onkyo nr801 i used one of the ac outlets for my velodyne sub so it would shut off with the receiver. my 705 only has one outlet so i leave it on stand by when not in use. havent had an issue.

as someone who passes out with the tv on, i was wondering about this myself, my tv shuts my bluray player off with sleep mode but not the receiver or subwoofer, this doesn't hurt the equipment to have it run all night?

I've always plugged it into the switched outlet on the receiver.

All the time? Won't the sub draw power 24/7? I hate it when the sub clicks off during silent periods in a movie. But I also don't want to bend over every time I want to watch a movie. The button is on the bottom on back of the SW.

Maybe I will put it on its own power strip so I can easily click it on and off manually.
