Default Harman Kardon AVR 120 shutoff?

Anyone have any experience with this receiver shutting down on its own? Just in the last few days when I turn the receiver on cold it shuts off in 45-60 seconds and after turning it on again the same thing after 6-12 times of this it finally stays on until the next day.

Any information would be great.

Unplug ALL interconnects & speaker wires and then try to power the AVR on. If the AVR still goes into protect mode, the power supply is probably damaged. If the AVR does not shut off with every connection unplugged it means that an interconnect is bad or damaged.

Thanks for the advice, do you know this for fact? I just tried what you recommended and it shuts down right away now. Everything is unplugged turn it on and immediately turns off.

If this is the case its this any easy fix I can do myself? And is it pricey?

there is just no rhyme or reason for this, I watched TV all day yesterday with no problems, threw in Transformers ROF and changed the input on the receiver about 45 minutes in it shut off, then shut off 2 more times within the movie. Afterward I switched inputs again and watched a little TV, no problems???
