Lost Planet Review - Blu-ray Forum

Ok just wondering what the heck happened here. I was looking forward to getting this game and I see that ign gave it a 5.5 and reading a lot of people not liking it. Is this considered on of the crappiest ports.

it also doesn't help that the game itself happens to suck.

Most people Believe the Story is Weak, and the game is Lame Period.

I have to say, I was kinda expecting this to be a crappy port job when they announced the game would retail for $39.99... Hopefully this will be the last time we have to see this kind of thing happen.

I don't think it's nearly as bad as many people have said; however, it is 'paced' and not instant gratification.

It has a truly arcade like feel to it which is definitely different from most shooters we get.

I'm enjoying it. Haven't noticed any slowdowns or anything yet. Graphics aren't the best, but not the worst either. Alien AI isn't great nor are pirates. Online multiplayer is cool though. There are a lot of options to play with as far as tactics and strategy that I think a lot of people simply don't understand or take the time to discover. The arm thing is amazing.

For $39.99 ($35 at costco) instead of the full $60, I'm not complaining. I'm definitely getting my money's worth in comparison to some of the $60 games I've gotten for PS3 that's for sure. It's holding me over until Army of Two and especially RB6V2. That's what really matters.
