Alright, I decided to play some of my blu-rays on my computer. The quality seems far worse than if I play it directly via the PS3. I'm using the same display for both and the same settings.
1) Jumpy/Twitchy Menus. Not a frame rate issue, the menus jerk/twitch around. Like it will jump up 6 pixels, then jump down 6 pixels.. but very fast and very noticable. 2) Low Quality. I'll watch a scene in the PS3, then watch the same scene using PowerDVD 9. It's terrible in comparison. Far more glitches in the video, and the colors are just far worse. i7 920 @ 4GHz, 6GB DDR3 2000, Radeon 5970. My computer is definitely not the problem, it's top of the line. I'm running Windows 7 64bit. Last edited by Tyrindor; 12-15-2009 at 08:46 PM. |
