Default ID4 blu-ray review

Missing quite a few of the extras but seems like a fair review. Some have already mentioned the PQ, so I think this is pretty accurate.

extras are a bit dissapointing. i feel with all the space on blu, they should include all the special features that are on dvd. this should have included the bi plane ending sequence and other features. t2 was also kinda dissapointing too with only one version of the film and no extras like was in the dvd version with the metal case. maybe its a ploy for us to buy now then buy the next version with more extras

I agree.

Has it been confirmed that this doesn't have the extended version?

Default Dts Ma

Yet another DTS MA-only soundtrack on a disc I've been jonesing for.

Let's Hope the A Region disc will have a PCM track.

**Update: I'm an idiot. **

Should I be ruing the day I opted for PS3?

Agree 100%. I ended up cancelling my pre-order for that reason. It's already in my Netflix queue, probably competing with 500 other queues.

see the problem is, even though i said its dissapointing, im pronbably going to get it anyway. im probably part of the promblem then. i feel they can add all the extras that has been released on dvd already cause they can always find new stuff and do better transfers in the future as technology permits

ID4 Blu-ray Review
As I write this, Fox Movie Channel is showing the EXTENDED version of ID4 with "scenes not ever seen before". I suppose it's too much to hope this Blu-ray is not the theatrical version.

This is the odd man out for me come Tuesday. I'll be picking up No Country, Appleseed, Gatacca and I, Robot...this one will have to wait.

The extended is available on DVD.. but it's so stupid.. they show you the scientist as IDIOT... witch is totally Stupid. Branching would have been good tought, but i know i'am not missing anything worth watched in the extended..

Don't expect miracles and don't feel disappointed by the inconsistent PQ post area 51.

I hate to say it, but I never watch the extras. I'd take the extended version though.

Don't forget the extended scene with TV manager & Jeff G. where the guy kisses him or the extended scene about the kid's medicine. I just don't know how people will manage without the extra fluff.

Nice review, but I really could have done without all the political BS that was spued. Comment on the movie from a BD perspective and leave out all the other stuff. The only comment I agree with the fact that sentiment has changed, but so has anyone's ability to deal with a movie without throwing in politics.
