Default HD silliness to share:

Got this response to another forum when I posted the digitalbits rumor about the Trek movies probably being reissued Blu next year to coincide with Trek XI on Blu:

"And the fact that a standard DVD release is planned along with the films' debut in HD is further proof that standard-def DVDs are still seen as a major seller, regardless of the format war ending. If nothing else there are those millions who have standard-def DVD portables installed in their SUVs, or who have standard-def DVD drives in their computers. These folks have little need to buy high-def versions, especially since it has been proven that most films made more than about 5 years ago look exactly the same in Blu-Ray or HD-DVD as they do on standard def, and I've experienced the unpleasantness of trying to watch a standard def movie on a Blu-Ray player and it sucked."

Yes. Because I know from experience how vastly superior my SD version of Blade Runner is to my Blu.
