Default Hooking It Up

For you Onkyo 605/705 users out there.. I just want to get this straight. In order to hook the receiver up to the TV, cable box, and a PS3, do you need 3 HDMI cables? One from PS3, one from cable box, both going into the receiver. And then one from receiver to TV?

You could run component with your cable box as do I...you won't lose any PQ and it will save you from spending hundreds on a new receiver...

If I understood the question, it is about 605/705 receivers
and yes... all connections, where possible are HDMI

monoprice or blue-jeans for cables

Thanks guys! So how do you change inputs if you have only one HDMI running to the back of the TV? Does the receiver take care of all of that?

^You change the inputs on the receiver not on the TV.
