Default Need help hooking up my 2.0 player.

Hey All

About two months ago, I bought a brand new Sony BDP-S350 so that I can view the Pip features on my Blu's as well as download the new stuff through the internet. Well, I hooked up my Blu-Ray player to the router, but it wont connect. Every time I do, all I get are two screens that say the following.

DNS Server not responding

Check the following items
-The router's DNS setting is correct.
-Proxy setting are correct when proxy is configured.
-All cables between the router and the modem are connected correctly.
-The type of cable (straight or cross) is connected.
-The modem's power is on and it is connected correctly.
-The splitter connection is correct when using ADSL.
-Check that DNS1 and DNS2 are set correctly when "DNS Server Auto Acquisition" has been set to "OFF" under Network settings.

I don't know about you guys, but this is completely going over my head. Does any of this make any sense to anyone out there, and if so can you help me with this. I'd rather not be on the phone with some tech guy, I'm waiting for some calls.

I don't know anything about my router, apart from what the guys at SaskTel (the phone company) tell me.
