Default Rumored covers of Armageddon and TOMBSTONE posted

http://thehdroom.com/news/Exclusive_...Cover_Art/6199

Quote:
I have a special treat for you today in the realm of Blu-ray that, if it pans out to be true, will put a gritty smile on many faces.
What you see below are the covers for the probable upcoming release of a pair of 1990s flicks on Blu-ray Disc: Tombstone with Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer, and Michael Bay's Armageddon with Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck.

The reason I say probable is Buena Vista Home Entertainment has not announced either of these titles as of yet. Though I am convinced their arrival is legit based on the surfacing of these covers, either or both films coming to Blu-ray could just as easily be delayed or canned

Now, assuming both titles are on the fast track to high definition, a speculative release time frame would be around Father's Day of this year. Studios love to pump out "macho guy" films around that date and I think you'll agree that Tombstone and Armageddon more than fit the bill.

Look for more information on these (hopefully) upcoming releases in the next few months.

oh man....Tombstone is one of my most anticipated Blu's ever. AWESOME news!

Tombstone is decent. If the price is right then I'll probably get it down the road.

With Armageddon announced for France, you can pretty much count on it coming to the US.

now I need to just go ahead and get a Sherwood player so I don't have to worry about region coding.

If true, hopefully the BD of Tombstone won't have the horrible EE that the DVD had.

Looking forward to both titles!

I'll be getting both of these for sure. I've been waiting on Armageddon in particular since there was never even an anamorphic DVD release.

For such a popular title. I'm surprised that Armageddon hasn't been repackaged more over the years. The last DVD release was over 10 years ago.

Do these covers really mean anything? They're the normal covers. Was anyone expecting something different? LOL!

True, but they still work for Blu-Ray covers as well.

I'll buy both, although Tombstone is one of my most anticipated releases.

YEESSSS!! Finally Armageddon!! I am keeping my fingers crossed that its the Blu equal to my 2-disc Criterion DVD version. Actually, NO! I hope it has more special features. And Tombstone will also be a day 1 buy for me.

Even more shocking: It never even received an anamorphic widescreen release in the US (not even the Criterion edition)!

Disney is weird like that....many relatively big, successful, and popular titles never got 16x9 upgrades here in America: Scream, Good Will Hunting, Armageddon, Three Men And A Baby, etc....
