To be honest, I've not kept up with the peoples concensus on this movie. I would assume based on reactions from people I know in real life that it's not positive. You know what though?

This movie looks like a blast. Sure, the CG is awful, but the bright colors and stylish driving are sure to entertain. I'll be there.

Yeah I haven't heard good things either, but im a sucker for speed racer and I think the cg was made like that so people still have a feeling of watching a cartoon instead of it being turned into a full blown real life film.

This was one of my favorite cartoons growing up, along with Gigantor (aka Tetsujin). I think it is great that some of these movies are getting made...especially if they do them justice. This looks very promising to me!

Coming from the Wachowaski Bros. I expected a bit more polished look for the movie. I grew up watching it and I remember all those exotic locales that the anime had.......but here it looks like bunch of hot wheels tracks assembled together.
